An American black comedy, superhero, and fantasy web television series, The Umbrella Academy is a film adaptation of a comic book series by the same name published by Dark Horse Comics.
The second season of the series is about to release soon hence we want you to remember a few important observations from season one.
The Plot of Season 1
The story begins with an appalling incident wherein on October 1, 1989, 43 women around the world give birth concomitantly even though none of them was showing any signs of pregnancy until labor began.
Seven of these babies were adopted by a weird billionaire named Sir Reginald Hargreeves and turned them into a superhero team and called it “The Umbrella Academy”.
He didn’t give them names but rather called them by numbers. They were further given names by their nanny robot-mother, Grace.
Sir Reginald Hargreeves is Dead
After years of not seeing or talking to each other, Reginald’s kids finally reunited at his funeral. Reginald died because of heart failure or at least that’s what he wanted his kids and the media to believe.
Luther suspected that there was something fishy about his father’s death.
Eventually, it was revealed that Reginald knew that the world was approaching its end and he wanted his kids to reunify and his funeral was the only event that could bring them together.
Is Vanya Powerless?
Reginald believed Vanya was powerless. He never sent her on any mission with others. It later turns out that she is the most herculean of the sibling.
Reginald was aware that Vanya is most powerful yet he kept her under medication for a year as he didn’t know how to control her powers. She was the one who ended up causing the apocalypse as her powers became chaotic.
Allison Became Mute
When Allison tried to create a rumor against Vanya, she attacked her and slit her throat with the bow of her violin.
Klaus Becomes more Powerful
Klaus can communicate with the dead. He even saw Reginald. His powers might reach their full potential in season 2.
